How Many Is Too Many?

I once had my teacup read by this very tiny and sweet older lady who had the most intense blue eyes. At first we went as a lark and I was skeptacle, but she really surprised me. She looked into my teacup and asked with a smile,  “I see lots and lots of books, are you a teacher?”  I was almost speechless since I’m not a teacher, but I am in fact obsessed with books, well  magazines to be honest.  My girlfriend roared,  “she is soooooo addicted to magazines”!  “No doubt”, I laughed, because it was too true.

I can’t even fathom how much I’ve spent over the years. I often passed them along to friends and family. Even so, during a recent move I had to force myself to leave over 300 magazines at the local library.  They had been tucked into closets, dresser drawers, book shelves, craft lockers and well, really everywhere.  I began to wonder if I was a magazine hoarder. Those show’s are so scary!  I had every issue of Victoria magazine since it premiered.  Once in love with their style, we had grown apart.  Why then had I continued to buy it?  I  guess I didn’t want my collection to be incomplete.  Reality check, it’s called an obssession.

It kind of  felt good to purge but  I sometimes miss the odd issue here and there.  I still seem to find myself wasting way too much time at Chapters looking for new favorites. But I’ve cut way back and really,  “how many is too many”?

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently design for Paige Taylor Evans and The Hip Kit Club. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

Talk nerdy to me………..
