Winter Is In The Rear View Mirror

Or is it?  Ol’ Man Winter is one tricky fella.  Sent us a big ol’ smack down today. New’s flash from the desk of Boomdeeadda….

He must have anticipated gardeners spring fever and decided to play a little joke.  OK, that’s really funny, we get it.  We live in northern Alberta, anything can happen and usually does.  Albertans are a hearty lot though and we certainly wouldn’t let a little snow on April 5th keep us indoors. No sir, we aren’t sissy’s!  A fit cyclist made short business of a trip through the park while joyfully exclaiming “it’s wonderful” when I offered a lame  “crazy out here, eh? ”   I began to think it’s really just all how you perceive it.  It looks pretty, its moisture we need and bonus, it makes a great snowman. Hey, you’re right Mr “I can cycle anywhere/any day”, it really is wonderful!  Even the birdies don’t seem to mind.

While the park bench’s await cheerful conversation, the trees await their green splendor and the sounds of crisp cool water  at the fountain drowns out the city noise, I will make peace with the weather.

But, looking forward to those  fuzzy bumblebee’s of summer buzzing by on their way to a colorful basket of blooms on the porch. Let’s just hope winter is in rearview the mirror.

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently design for Paige Taylor Evans and The Hip Kit Club. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

    1. Oh wow! It’s like time traveling with you this morning! I see you are the second visitor. It’s lonely in the beginning of a blog isn’t it? ha! Winter can be beautiful to look at but I love my flip-flops more than the heavy winter boots 😀 xk

Talk nerdy to me………..
