Please Pass The Cake

Gasp, it’s another birthday. How did the year go by already? A full year ago, for my 50th birthday, Mr Boomdeeadda took me all the way to Portland to see Mary Poppins on stage.. I have loved her since I was a little girl.  I was so happy after the show, I was crying on the street.  I remember this cyclist looking concerned and I blubbered “it’s OK, I just saw Mary Poppins”!   That was the best gift ever (xox Mr. B). If you get a chance to go, I highly recommend it. We also loved “The Lion & The Rose Bed & Breakfast” in Portland.

Then, we sold our house.  We moved for the first time in 25 years.  That was a ‘ little bit of crazy’.  We sort of did a reverse “Green Acres”  Remember that show? No? Well you must not have had as many birthdays.  Cute little 60’s show with Eva Gabor and Eddie Albert. They move from Park Avenue to a little farm. Man, we were amused by much simpler programming back then weren’t we?  All’s well that ends well and moving to the big city has been GREAT!

Aloha, went to Maui for the first time. It’s just absolutely gorgeous. My lucky friend Sugar just moved there, so I can go back and visit everyday  on her website.

Oh, and I started this Blog!  I’m finding beautiful gardens, exotic destinations, crafting ideas and so much more. I’m amazed and  grateful when you come by Boomdeeadda too.  Blogging actually helps me get more organized with my own projects, so that’s just ‘gravy on the side’.

I must say, there’s been a lot of pleasant surprises this year.  Seems it’s been time well spent, won’t you please pass the cake.

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛

  1. Happy Birthday! I loved Green Acres when I was a kid. I recently watched an episode on YouTube and was amazed how corny (no pun intended) it seems now.
