Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved Kaleidoscope’s.   I remember having one as a kid and looking at it for hours. The inventor, Sir David Brewster was a 19th century Scottish mathematician, astronomer, inventor, and writer (talk about over archiever).  He certainly looked like one serious dude, but I guess he liked to have a little fun too.

I was so happy to find a new one on my trip to Stony Plain last week.  It’s a little reminder of my childhood and  an innocence that kids may not discover today with all the technical distractions they enjoy.

I’ve spent quiet moments peering through the scope at all the amazing designs created by a simple twist of the wrist. I can’t imagine the wonder of a child in 1817 when they looked into the newly invented Kaleidoscope! Almost 200 years later, here’s a look through the eyes of Boomdeeadda today.

They’re like miniature works of art and  never the same design twice, fascinating!

Lucky me, I have a dedicated craft room and currently on the Cut File Team for Paige Taylor Evans. I mostly enjoy making 12x12 layouts and Mini Albums. Thanks so much for coming by 💛
