A Little Queen

A Little Queen

Welcome back to my Kingdom!

It’s so nice to see you here.

I’ve just been looking thru my spy glass

at a precious little deer.

A Little Deer

I might not have even seen him,

if not for my new kitten.

She was purring sweetly in my lap

while her sweater I was knittin’.

A New Kitten

A friend of mine brought her by and

said “Alyster, you shouldn’t be alone”.

“She won’t be any trouble at all,

please, this kitten needs a home”.

A Friend of Alyster

I looked down at Romeo,

he had a big smile on his face.

“Oh please, we MUST keep her”,  he said.

“We can call her Grace”.

Romeo named her Grace

At that very moment,

I knew that I was smitten.

Romeo would have a playmate,

our home, a brand new kitten.

A New Kitten

She’s just a little fur ball,

her favourite colour’s green.

We’re already in love with Grace,

our Kingdom’s little Queen.

Grace Looks Sleepy

    1. Dang Lea, that’s so nice! Thank you. I used to just love Dr Seuss for the short rhymes. Reading them as an adult, you get a whole new message. They’re really for everyone.

    1. Good guess Alys…I actually named my GNOME after my favourite girl….HA, I guess my REVEAL was too confusing……Surprise, HA, that was rather anti climatic. I’ve yet to name my deer, the other half of a set 😉 but future rhymie poem shall tell all 😀 xo

    1. Awwwww, thanks Sheryl. I decided, it’s going to be a little challenge for myself. Whenever I share the Fairy Garden, I’ll try to do it in a rhyme….well see how it goes. 😀

    1. Awww Kat, you’re a dear to say so. It’s not too deep and it’s all rhyming which I’m sure is very bourgeois, but it’s a fun way to tell a story. Thanks for being here 😀

  1. This is so precious I could cry! That little kitty cat is so cute. (And I am usually not a fan of little figurines.) Thank you for picking a feline to be queen. 🙂

    1. I’m with out, I don’t usually go for chachka’s but this fairy garden has me looking all all these tiny little things in a new light. I couldn’t resist her with that jaunty little sweater. It’s fitting that she would rule the kingdom, I know ours do at home..LOL Thanks so much for your message Leilani!

        2. Absolutely! Grace…love that name. I wish I could borrow her for my St. Patty’s day garden. She would fit right in.

No worries…the charming deer is wearing green beads for the occasion. 🙂
